Automation Engineering of Harbin Engineering University was established on March 2001. Its predecessor is the key department of harbin Military Engineering Institute in 1953 -- The navy engineering Department. The institue is divided into two departments and a designing institute:Shipping and Ocean Engineering Department, The Warter conservancy hydroelectric department, and designing Institute which were devoted to training the senior technician on engineering in terms of the overall design,making,management and scientific study of the subjects concerned. the institute is in the leading place in domestric universities and collegesregarding the personal training,scientific technological research and engineering design and is praised as "China's shipbuilding engineering's cradle".
