Oh,
how I love my hometown Harbin, the Eastern Moscow, Eastern Little Paris,
Ice City, Music City...... We enjoyed cool summer every year but
suffered a lot during the winter. It begins snowing in November and
the winter won't leave until next May. It sometimes goes under -30
degrees (C) in January. For historical reasons, we have various architecture
styles, and enjoy lots of exotic food. |

Taken during my trip to Chang-Bai
Mountain. One of the most wonderful places near my hometown Harbin

Zhao-Lin park, the place I spent every
weekend before I went to secondary school. It seems that I was not
really standing there, the background looks toooooo flat to be true! |
-- May 1999
My first so-called "artistic" picture.
My cousin laughed at me for this. |

Outside a countryside house, they
accumulate lots of firewood for the winter. Also from my Chang-Bai
Mountain trip. |
A Russian style church in my home
town. There is a square around it now. |
Ice sculpture, the unique way of art
that Harbiners enjoy during the freezing winter. The ice from Song-Hua
River, only ice formed from flowing water can be this transparent. |
Sledging on Song-Hua River.
One of hundreds of winter sports at Harbin. |
Ice-Surfing on Song-Hua River.
Also one of my favorite winter sports at Harbin. |
