Here I will speak some impressions about this university. I arrived at Japan on October.4th.2002. When we arrived at airport, we are very exited, we came to Japan finally! Then we went to Shijuku by bus, and then we met our theachers from UEC.

They are very kindly and polite. Also we met with some JUSST student who have come to UEC in April, they were very enthusisum that they helped us to take our luggage. The university was established on May 31,1949. On 8th October we meet in front of UEC,then we went to SiFa to do some paperwork for the Foreign Resident Registration and National Health Insurance. On 9th,we also did some other paperworks like Student ID and Library and so on.10th,we held the Opening Ceremony At that ceremony, the headmaster made a speech which I think was wonderful,he showed they were very welcom to accept us as JUSST students, after that we held a welcom aaception where there were many deliciouse food to eat,and Pro suzuki made an introduction of every one. On 11th,October we have a living guidance. Then in the afternoon, we started our courses ,I started to knoww that all the courses were teached in English expet Japanese language.

Tokyo City is like other big cities, a place where the living rhythm is too fast, where the people should take care about the time’s sense, because obviusly, there are too much people and the distances to do are very large. However, one important factor on this kind cities’s living is the train and subway system which brings to habitants a comfortable, secure and fast way to travel to it’s destiny (workplace, home or restplace, etc.); In respect to Tokyo’s train and subway system, it’s larger than Mexico City’s one, but the main diference is that while Mexico City’s subway system (called ‘Metro’) is operated by the city government, Tokyo’s train and subway system is operated by multiple private companies. However… to use these trains and the ‘Metro’ is the same thing only with other kind of users, but I will write later about they.

After 2 or 3 days I began to be familiar with the capus ,where there are two campus in total, the west and the east. All the buildings seemed to be very beautiful, and the library is very advanced. I like the campus and the teachers and I thanked the university to have given the chance to me to study here for one year, although it is a little short for us, but I think I will try my best to study hard.
