My first inpression of Japan was at Brisbane Airport just before I was to board the plane. There was a whole Japanese school and it was interesting watching them interact with each other. On the trip to UEC I remember thinking that Japan must have a high electricity bill because they use so many lights. Even the the traffic signs were lights! I have a very good feeling living here, the suroundings are very nice and the people are very friendly. One thing that surprised me a little was the lack of litter on the street. This is extremely strange because Japan has a a big lack of public rubbish bins! Tokyo is a very busy place, quite the opposite to Brisbane, so I think it might take a little while to get used to. Also, the shops are near by and there are many vending machines so this makes life very convinient.
