Link to my department in Shanghai Jiao Tong Unieverity

Department of Physics, Jiao Tong University, was founded in 1928 and it was closed down because of the adjustment of department in 1952. In 1977, the Department of Physics was reconstructed and renamed as Department of Applied Physics. In 1997, Department of Applied Mathematics and Department of Applied Physics were combined into the present School of Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Department of Applied Physics was renamed as Department of Physics in March, 2001.

Department of Physics can originally confer doctor's degree on students in three fields, namely, theoretical physics, condensed matter physics and optics, and the mobile station for post-doctors of physics science was founded in 1998. In 2000, Department of Physics was authorized to confer doctor's degree on the first subject of Physics. Theoretical physics, condensed matter physics and optics all are subjected to the Cheung Kong Scholar Program and the optics subject is the key subject of Shanghai. At present, there are 32 professors, 35 associate professors, and 12 lecturers working here and among the professors there are 1 Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 3 professors of Cheung Kong Scholar Program and 3 professors granted by the Premier Foundation. The department is known for its excellent team of teachers, well-equipped labs and abundant financial funding for research work.
