I was born in Sofia, so when I enrolled in the University, I stayed with my parents. I have never lived in a dormitory, nor do our universities usually have this sort of campus, as UEC does, so all of this is really new to me and, all in all, I like it. The first thing that comes to mind about UEC is how nice all the staff and the professors are. Maybe because we are foreigners, or maybe because it is simply the Japanese way, but everyone is being so friendly and understanding. It is really so easy to get by.

The University seems to be full of life. In the lunch break the queue to the gakushoku (学食) is incredibly big. At warmer times you can see people doing experiments with some robots around the campus. Even if there are no humans, the crows will always bring silence to heel pretty soon. Seeing as I only went to lectures and then left for home in my own University, this kind of things impress me pretty easily. There are so many laboratories, doing all kinds of interesting things I'd like to know about. But of course the time is not enough for everything, so come by the research page to see what I finally set my eyes on :) One final thing about the campus is how neat it is! Maybe it keeps Feng Shui principles to the very best because I always feel nice just looking at it. I especially like the pond with the koi (鯉). When I go back to Bulgaria, I should suggest we build this kind of pond somewhere around my University. It is a really nice touch. Now only if we could get rid of the crows...
