My home university is IPN (National Polytechnic Institute, Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Spanish) is one of the largest and most important universities in Mexico (I think is the best). It was founded in 1936 by the president Lazaro Cardenas del Rio under the idea to integrate and structure the Mexican technical studies. The motto of the IPN is: "The technical to service the nation" ("La tecnica al servicio de la patria").

Meaning of IPN's logo. It has a tower that corresponds to civil engineering building and the branches of the knowledge that is derived from it; the gear and its branches at the end represent mechanical engineering. The matrass on the center surrounded by a snake symbolizes biological and medical science. The balance with subject of gossip in balance represents sciences of commerce and economy. Out pet is a white donkey and symbolize our alma mater.

The IPN has about 20 schools that are divided by specific areas related to Social Science, Biological & Medical Science and Engineering & Physic-Math Science. My school is ESIME Culhuacan (Mechanical & Electronic Engineering Superior School). Finally the cheer of the IPN is:
