All things are difficult before they are easy! When our club was just founded in the December of 2006, you cannot imagin how many difficulties we encountered! We had no sponsors, no coach, no place to train. In one word, we had nothing at the beginning. What is worse, seldom was there any student know our club. Thus we had to put most of our energy in publicizing our club. COME ON! That was far from easy! All of the founders were really in a bad state then.
Any way, all the problems were successfully settled afterwards.
In the first semester, we got around 50 members and we trained on the football ground three times a week. The training was intense and strict, but we were very happy when we made a progress on our skills. Sometimes the coach would asked us to practise real fight, since the real fight is the essence of advanced TKD. We enjoyed it very much. And every time I had a fight, I could draw lessons from it and try to improve my weekness in afterwards training.
At the end of the first semester, we held the grading test in our club and I graded to blue belt. In fact, I had not graded for nearly one year after I got my green belt, so I was really happy when I receive my blue belt!
In the second semester, everything went well because we accumulated more experience than we were in the first semester. This time we recruited more than 100 members and our club grew really big. Since our university has two campus, we gave training in two campus at the same time.
In the November of 2007, our club held the Tournament of TKD Of Universities in the Chengdu.Eight universities joined this competition and our universities got a good result. The success of this competition demonstrates the maturity of our club.
This May, our club held the second competition and more than 100 competitors took part in the competition.
We have the performance section in our club thus we often give performance in different circumstances. And this raised our club to fame.
