UEC Campus - 2005.04.21
At Narita Airport, I eagerly awaited meeting my UEC contact Sasaki-san. At this time I didn't know what she looked like, so I kept my eyes open for a person
holding a 'UEC' sign. Our meeting time slowly passed by and I still didn't find her. With slight apprehension, I moved on to our second meeting point.
As I reached the bus terminal I was greeted by the friendly Sasaki-san; my anxieties immediately faded away. We escaped the cold outside and had a relaxed conversation while
waiting for our bus to Chofu. Sasaki-san, or Naoko as she asked me to call her, was my first impression of UEC. Needless to say, she left a positive impression on me and I
felt happy to have finally arrived.
I never imagined how beautiful the cherry blossoms would be, but as I walked through the main path in the university, a bright pink cloud of flowers
branched out over me. Indeed I was lucky to have arrived as this beautiful time of year.

My new friends from UEC who greeted me at the bus station were
eager to help me and I felt excited as we talked together on our way to the dormatory. My arrival here couldn't have been better, and I felt comfortable
in my new home right from the start.
