My Impression of UEC

UEC, short for University of Electro-Communications, is a university located in Chofu City that is in the southwest of Tokyo. I will spend one year or so tudying here during my exchange time.

The area UEC covers is not very large, but she contains a cafeteria, a library, two gymnasiums, dormitory halls and so forth. UEC has two campuses, east campus and west campus. They locate next to each other, and there is only one street between them. I live in the International House, which is in the north of east campus. The dormitory is single room and I myself live in one room. The room is equipped with a kitchen, a lavatory and a shower. Although the room is small, everything is integrated well.

The food in the cafeteria is delicious, especially noodles. However, it is a little bit expensive. Classes here are interesting. I have Japanese language classes, academic skill classes and three more scientific engineering classes. Professors and teachers are highly kind. They are very patient to explain problems we encounter, even some of them are not good at English.

In UEC, I also meet many foreign classmates, who come from Indonesia, Germany, Mexico and Thailand. They are very kind and we have soon become familiar. In addition to classes, UEC arranges for us many activities which we enjoy. In all, life in UEC is very interesting.
