My homeland is China, which is an old country with more than 5000 history.¡¡China is the largest of all Asian countries and has the largest population of any country in the world. Occupying nearly the entire East Asian landmass, it stretches for about 5,000 km from east to west and 3,400 miles from north to south and covers an area of about 9,572,900 square km, which is approximately one-fourteenth of the land area of the Earth.

    China's land frontier is about 12,400 miles in length, and its coastline extends for some 8,700 miles. The country is bounded by Mongolia to the north; Russia and North Korea to the northeast; the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea to the east; the South China Sea to the southeast; Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar (Burma), India, Bhutan, and Nepal to the south; Pakistan to the southwest; and Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakstan to the west. In addition to the 14 countries that border directly on it, China also faces South Korea and Japan, across the Yellow Sea, and the Philippines, which lie beyond the South China Sea.

    China has 33 administrative units directly under the central government; these consist of 22 provinces, five autonomous regions, four municipalities (Chongqing, Peking, Shanghai , and Tianjing), and two special administrative regions (Hong Kong and Macau).

    There are many well-known historic sites in China. The Well-known Great Wall is in China. The Great Wall is more than 5000 kilometers long.China has a famous saying: if you don't get to the Great Wall, you are not a bawcock. Only after you have visited the Great Wall, you understand the real meaning of the saying. Besides the Great Wall, there are many other famous place to visit including five famous hign mountains,the Imperial Palace, the Yellow River, the Yangzi River, beautiful primordial forest, pretty big canyon and so on. There are so many beautiful places that it cannot be listed one by one there.

    Nowadays China stand the east of the world as a new state. Snice the economical reforming and openning in 1978, China has created a lot of wonders. Chinese GDP is increasing by some 10% each year. Society retains steady and economy develops prosperously. In the 21st century there must be further development in all parts. After the economical reforming, China is puting up the political reforming. The east lion have been awake. China must play a more important role in the world stage. Chinese nation loves the peace and become a important strong.
