King Mongkute's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang is situated in the eatern region of Bangkok city,the capital of Thailand.KMITL was established with the aim to provide education and promote research and development in science and technology for the industrial and economic development of Thailand and to install in the students a desire to serve society.
With permission,the university bears the royal name of King RamaIV,know as Father of Thai Science,and has as its symbol the royal crown emblem.Its current status is an independent state university.Today the institute consists of 7 faculties:Faculty of Engineering,Faculty of Architecture,Faculty of Agricultural Technology,Faculty of Industrial Education,Faculty of Science,Faculty of Information Technology and School of Graduate Studies.
The regular academic year consists of two semeters.The first semester begins in June and ends in September.The second semester begins in November and ends in February.
The University provides a wide range of student services such as Sports Complex,Gymnasium,Swimming Pool,the Counseling centre,the medical centre,Halls of Residence,Bank and refectory.It also provides academic services and facilities to students of the institute such as the faculty library,the central library,the computer research and service centre,Research Centre for Communications and Information Technology.
If you have a chance to visit Thailand you can go to my univerty by rail from the Bangkok Central Railway Station which has services every hour to KMITL or travel can be made by road through Bangkok-Chonburi(New Road)Road which runs pass the Institute.
