Hi! My name is Gabriel Delgado and I am from Costa Rica. I came to Japan with a Scholarship granted by the Japanese Government (MEXT). During my first year in Japan I studied Japanese at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS). The following year I enrolled at The University of Electro-Communications (UEC), Department of Engineering Science.

The experience of studying at UEC has been incredibly enriching. Classes are dynamic, professors show great interest in our learning and the support I have had as a foreign student has been truly outstanding. Furthermore, the university has a great number of laboratories with high-tech equipment. From the first year we have classes in these laboratories and it is also here where, during the last year of the program, each student carries out his/her own research project. I have also attended lectures given by remarkable people like Ken Kutaragi, father of the PlayStation and a former student at UEC.

It is also noteworthy to talk about the location of the campus. It is located just 20 minutes by train from Shinjuku Station, the world's busiest transportation hub.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Gabriel Delgado y soy de Costa Rica. Vine a Japón en el año 2013 becado por el gobierno japonés (MEXT). Durante mi primer año en Japón estudié japonés en la Universidad de Estudios Extranjeros de Tokio (TUFS). El siguiente año, 2014, entré a la Universidad de Electro-Comunicaciones (UEC), al Departamento de Ingeniería Avanzada.

La experiencia de estudiar en UEC ha sido increíblemente enriquecedora. Las clases son dinámicas, los docentes muestran un gran interés por nuestro aprendizaje y el apoyo que he recibido como estudiante extranjero es excepcional. Además, la universidad cuenta con una gran cantidad de laboratorios con equipos de alta tecnología. Desde primer año tenemos clases en los laboratorios y es allí en donde cada estudiante, durante el último año de carrera, lleva a cabo su propio trabajo de investigación. También he recibido charlas por parte de personas notables como Ken Kutaragi, el padre de la PlayStation y antiguo alumno de UEC.

También cabe destacar la excelente ubicación del campus ya que se encuentra a tan solo veinte minutos en tren de la Estación de Shinjuku, el centro de transporte más activo del mundo.
