Japanese government (MEXT) scholarship students are students receive scholarship every month and are exempt from fees for admission and tuition fees. Air tickets to Japan are also provided.

Application deadlines
Contact a potential supervisor ASAP
 
Deadline for application registration via prospective supervisor:
November 22, 2024 (JST)
 
Deadline for submitting application documents:
January 7, 2025 (JST)
Qualifications Applicants to the master's program must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications. 
 
Applicants to the doctoral program must have a master's degree or equivalent qualifications.
 
No recruitment for undergraduate program
Selection by the university February
Government screening March to May
Notification of acceptance June
Enrollment in UEC October

An applicant may not apply to other universities’ MEXT scholarship programs at the same time. If it is found that the applicant has applied to two or more universities, they will be disqualified for application.

  • Applicants for undergraduate program must have a high school diploma or equivalent qualifications.
  • Applicants to the master's program must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Applicants to the doctoral program must have a master's degree or equivalent qualifications.
Basis for selection

Submitted documents, written test, and interview(一次試験に合格したら、自分で受入教員をさがしてください。「受入内諾書」は、受入教員を見つけられない場合、発行できません。When you pass the first screening conducted by the embassy, you need to find a prospective supervisor yourself. If you cannot find a prospective supervisor, we will not issue “Provisional Acceptance Letter”)

Start of studies in Japan (a) April (for admission in spring semester)
(b)October (for admission in Fall semester)
