Summer Short Exchange Training Program with UESTC
On Monday, August 9, a closing ceremony for Summer Short Exchange Training Program with UESTC (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China) was held at the president reception room. During the ceremony, Prof. Fukuda, the director of Center for International Programs and Exchange conferred a certificate on each of the three UESTC students who completed the program. Then, as an outcome of the program a beautiful calligraphic work of Chinese characters was presented, which was written by an arm-robot assembled and controlled by the students.
This exchange program started this year 2010 with UESTC, one of our partner universities. UEC accepted three UESTC students at Aoyama & Ming Lab in Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Systems, and provided them with a technical training from July 16 through August 11. From late August, in turn, two UEC students will participate in a technical training on UESTC campus for a month.
