The 2nd Form(September 18-20, 2007)
On Sept. 18 through 20, 2007 the 2nd ICT Triangle Forum was held at Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications (BUPT) in China. The session framework, program creation, and operations were all managed by the Student Committee exclusively made of the Triangle students, and it allowed them to gain experiences in collaborating on transnational activities. Mr. HAYASAKA, Mitsuo acted as the representative and Mr. WANG, Lei as the deputy representative of UEC in the Committee.
At the beginning, the Triangle student representatives introduced their institutes to the other two Angles. In the following two days 11 presentations by UEC, 14 by BUPT, and 7 by ICU were made. There was also the Culture Night on the final evening for participants to familiarize themselves with unique ways of life long nurtured in the other two Angles’ countries. UEC grad students demonstrated “How to dress Yukata, a Japanese traditional wear” and “How to make Origami, art of paper folding”, which stimulated the students’ keen interest and interaction.
